This week’s rumours claim that Xiaomi’s Redmi K50S Pro, or K50 Ultra, could be the company’s first smartphone to include a 200 MP camera. The uniqueness would stand out for the processing and the return of the giant’s 120 W quick recharge, which has already been shown in Chinese certifications and a launch confirmed by the company’s vice president.
Yogesh Brar, an informant, acquired the whole technical sheet of the rumored Redmi K50S Pro, highlighting the set of cameras, confirming information provided by the leaker Digital Chat Station. According to reports, the company’s upcoming smartphone would sport a 200 MP primary sensor, joining the Moto X30 Pro as one of the first smartphones with a high-resolution camera to hit the market.
There are no specifics regarding the sensor model that would be utilized, but if it follows Motorola’s competitor’s specifications, Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 is most likely the choice. The component, which was unveiled in September 2021, attracted notice for both its definition and the technology used to achieve adequate light capture given the smaller pixel size.
Since the novelty would be included in the package of releases of the second half equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 from Qualcomm, it is interesting that the rest of the camera set would bring quite modest configurations, with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. It is likely that the choice is a measure to reduce costs and keep the final price low, especially considering other features of the phone.
The Redmi K50S Pro would reportedly include the chip, a 6.67-inch OLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, Android 12 running under MIUI 13, stereo sound, an under-display fingerprint reader, and a strong 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging in addition to the other features listed above.
